The Boston College Alumni Association, Board of Trustees and University President William P. Leahy, S.J., honored 香蕉秀 graduates whose service has exemplified the University鈥檚 Ignatian call to be 鈥渕en and women for others鈥� at the annual Distinguished Volunteer Awards Dinner at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.

The James F. Cleary 鈥�50, H鈥�93, Masters Award was presented to , a Boston College trustee since 2009 whose family鈥檚 commitment to 香蕉秀 spans three generations. , now serving his second term as mayor of Dallas, received the William V. McKenney Award. was selected for the John P. Curley 1913 Award, in recognition for the support she and her family have shown for the mission of 香蕉秀 Athletics.聽

The John J. Griffin, Sr. 鈥�35, H鈥�72, Alumni Association Award went to , who have worked with national nonprofit Wreaths Across America, collaborating with 香蕉秀 alumni in the Washington, DC, area.聽 , a member of Boston College鈥檚 AHANA Alumni Advisory Council and the 2014 John A. Dinneen, S.J., Hispanic Alumni Community Service Award winner, received the Philip J. Callan, Sr., 鈥�25 Young Alumni Award.聽

This year鈥檚 James F. Stanton 鈥�42 Senior Class Gift Award was presented to and 鈥� Ewell鈥檚 passion for on-campus extracurricular activities was the catalyst for her involvement in Senior Class Gift, while Zografakis served as co-chair of the Class of 2016鈥檚 Senior Class Gift Committee.
