What made you choose to work at Ï㽶Ðã?

After two years at Ï㽶Ðã for my graduate program I knew I had found a place that I could call home and consistently surround myself with people who are both incredibly supportive as well as constantly pushing me to do more and grow.

What has been your favorite memory at Ï㽶Ðã?

Not one in particular, but the casual and fun gatherings that happen as the weather turns nice agian in April and May makes you feel like you are just hanging out with friends in the neighborhood and not having a BBQ at work with your work people.

What do you love about living in the Boston area?

There is truly something for everyone here. I love all the history, the food, and the sports that are just a short car ride or ride on the T away.

What made you choose to work at Ï㽶Ðã?

A huge draw to working at Boston College for me was the Jesuit values. I really love being part of a strong values and mission driven institution, and loving having shared language and goals. I think regardless of religious backgrounds and perspectives, we can all agree that the core of our work is a focus on care for the whole person (Cura Personalis), to think about serving others and caring for your community, and with a focus on reflection and processing.

I also really love the Boston area, was looking for a larger department than I've been a part of previously, and really enjoyed the people I got to meet in my interview process who I eventually got to call colleagues and now so enjoy working alongside!

What has been your favorite memory at Ï㽶Ðã?

I have so many great memories and truly just enjoy the day to day experiences and energy! From working and laughing alongside some wonderful other RDs and Grads to supervising an amazing, highly energized, passionate RA team, to having summer BBQs with the team, to getting coffee and lunch with campus partners and colleagues, and to enjoying Ï㽶Ðã sporting and campus events - I've had a lot of fun in my time here!

What do you love about living in the Boston area?

The Boston area is fun to be in because there are so many things to do, new places to try, and year round activities. I really enjoy that Boston is a city and has city vibes, but is also kind of small, so everything is close and it can be pretty easy to get around by driving, taking the train, or walking. Also, as gal from the midwest, I love being in New England because I feel like there is so much to explore. It's really easy to pop into other states for a day or afternoon and I think just opens the area up for so many new adventures!

What made you choose to work at Ï㽶Ðã?

I originally came to Ï㽶Ðã as a graduate student, but what convinced me to go full-time as an RD was the close community within Residential Life. You get the sense that people really care about one another, and we try to lift as we climb. I've always felt really supported by my peers in the department!

What has been your favorite memory at Ï㽶Ðã?

Last year in the First-Year Area, the Newton RDs planned "Newton Prom," an event designed to include students on a campus that doesn't have a ton of non-Res Life programming. The students absolutely *loved it*, and it was fun to host and facilitate as well!

What do you love about living in the Boston area?

How close everything is! The Green Line literally has a stop right at Ï㽶Ðã. The T isn't perfect, but it'll get you wherever you want to go around Boston. It can be really fun to just spend a day exploring new train lines and seeing what's at every stop!
