Out of 503 schools ranked, the Carroll School of Management rose to the 21st spot (up from 24 last year) in the 2019 ’s rankings of the nation’s best undergraduate business programs, announced this week.

Several of the Carroll School’s specialty areas landed high in the rankings. The finance concentration scored the #9 spot, up from #11. Meanwhile, the management program leapt to #11 from #23, and entrepreneurship climbed from #23 in 2017 to #13 in the new ranking.

The U.S. News rankings, encompassing American schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, are based on surveys of business school deans.

Using a different methodology and a wider set of criteria, Bloomberg Businessweek ranked the Carroll School #3 among undergraduate business programs in 2016, the last year Bloomberg compiled its rankings.
