Events
Ï㽶ÐãC hosts many departmental events for our graduate students throughout the academic year. Our events are designed to stimulate the intellect; to provide professional networking opportunities; and to cultivate interactions among our graduate students.
Graduate Research Symposium
Every October, the research activities of the Ï㽶Ðã Chemistry Department are showcased during the Graduate Research Symposium. This event features seminar and poster presentations celebrating the accomplishments of our graduate students. The Graduate Research Symposium is a highlight of the academic year, as it includes reports of the most exciting advances made in Ï㽶ÐãC research groups during the preceding year.
Seminar Series
Ï㽶ÐãC hosts a diverse seminar series that brings outstanding visiting scientists from around the world to the department each year for formal and informal interactions with all of the members of the department. Weekly seminars highlight nationally recognized speakers in organic chemistry, chemical biology, and physical chemistry. In addition, the seminar series is highlighted by our annual University Lectureship, which brings world-class scientists to the department for a three-day visit and seminars.
