The original members of the Boston College women鈥檚 hockey team took the ice together for the first time in more than forty years at a ceremony in their honor in December. Thirty former players and coaches, along with their families, gathered in celebration before a Boston College鈥揃oston University game at Conte Forum. 鈥淚 told everyone I waited forty-three years for this day,鈥� said Reenie Baker Sansted 鈥�78, who founded and played for the first-ever 香蕉秀 women鈥檚 ice hockey team in 1974. Marveling at how far the program has come from its meager beginnings, she added: 鈥淭o see the 香蕉秀 women in full uniforms playing so well, it just makes my heart swell.鈥� 鈼�
