About the Club

Boston College Women’s Club Water Polo participates in the New England Division of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA). This division includes Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern University, Dartmouth College, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Williams College. Our practices are located at the Aquatics Center in the Margot Connell Recreation Center. Tryouts and off-season practices occur in the fall semester, while the spring semester is when our true season begins with tournaments. A season for us typically consists of 3 tournaments; 2 regular season tournaments and 1 final tournament also known as Regionals or Divisional tournament. While the first 2 tournaments are usually hosted by other teams, but Boston College has always hosted Regionals.

The club’s activities pulse with energy and dedication as members train tirelessly, honing their skills and pushing each other to new heights. Whether it’s late-night practices or chalk-talk, their passion for water polo fuels their determination to excel.

Club Achievements

The final tournament of the season is known as the New England Divisional or Regional championships. The team that wins this tournament has the opportunity to travel to Club Nationals and compete against 15 other teams across the country. During the 2018, 2019, and 2022 season we attended nationals, we had the opportunity to attend Nationals.

On April 1, 2023, 㽶WWP was recognized as the “Top Fundraising School Team” of Boston College during the 2023 Polar Plunge by the Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
