Through our partnership with the Minderoo Foundation, we are helping to shape the UNEP Global Plastics Treaty.

Planetary Health Alliance

The Planetary Health Alliance is a transdisciplinary education and research center based in the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health that analyzes the impacts of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss on human health and on all life on Earth.

United Nations Environment (UNEP)

United Nations Environment (UNEP) is the environmental agency of the United Nations and is responsible for coordinating the UNā€™s responses to environmental challenges.

World Health Organization

The Boston College Program for Global Public Health and the Common Good works in partnership with the World Health Organization to protect the worldā€™s children against environmental threats to health.

Advocacy

The Boston College Program for Global Public Health and the Common Good translates science into evidence-based advocacy to advance population health and achieve social justice.

We testify before Congress on national public health issues.

We publish editorials and advisories in major media outlets on air pollution, mercury, asbestos, lead, pesticide poisoning and global climate change.

Our faculty and students are working locally to oppose placement of a large, natural gas compressor station in a densely populated, low-income, environmental justice community in North Weymouth, Massachusetts.

We educate health professionals, parents and the public.

We work with UN Environment and the World Health Organization.
