Description
Boston College invites applications for a tenure-track (Assistant Professor) position in Computational Cognitive Science. Candidates are expected to investigate questions relevant to cognition and/or the brain using computational methods. We welcome candidates using theoretical approaches as well as candidates working with experimental data related to brain function or behavior. We encourage candidates to elaborate in their research statements on how their work contributes to or relates to developments in computer science and cognitive neuroscience.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D in Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. The position will be a joint appointment in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and the Department of Computer Science, and candidates will be expected to teach courses relevant to both disciplines. The new hire will have a primary home in the department closer to their main field of expertise.

Teaching Assistants
Teaching assistants are responsible for assisting their assigned professors in student instruction. TAs will hold office hours in which they will assist students with homework or other questions related to the course as well as perform other class-related tasks as requested by the assigned professor.
