Academics
The Irish Studies Program brings together scholars from the English, History, and other Boston College departments.
Graduate
Graduate students may undertake studies in Irish topics at both the Masters and Doctoral levels in the English and History departments. The English Department, specifically, offers an MA in Irish Literature and Culture.
Undergraduate
Undergraduates may take individual courses in Irish related topics while working towards a minor in Irish Studies. To be eligible for the minor, students must complete 18 credits from approved courses, that have been drawn from more than one discipline. Only one course may double count towards both a major and a minor. Contact Irish Studies for more details.
Students may spend a semester or a year studying in Ireland through the Office of Global Education. Consult with the Irish Studies faculty advisor for details.
