- Explore what measurement looks like from the perspective of corporate citizenship through best-in-class examples
- Activity: Reflect on the context of measurement in your corporate citizenship efforts
Module 2: A Framework for Measurement: Logic Model
- Introduction to elements of the logic model—a tool for measurement that you will use throughout the course
- Activity: Analyze examples of recent corporate citizenship initiatives through the lens of the logic model
Module 3: Goals and Objectives
- Identify the best practices to setting project goals and objectives for your company
- Activity: Reflect on your own goal setting and analyze a case study
Module 4: Impact, Outcomes, and Outputs
- Dive deeper into the elements of the logic model, differentiating between outputs, outcomes, and impacts
- Activity: Create a logic model for a corporate citizenship project or program
Module 5: Indicators, Methods, and Tools
- Learn about methods of data gathering—including surveys, interviews, and focus groups—and dive deeper into creating indicators to measure your corporate citizenship programs and projects
- Activity: Review your logic model and describe indicators for impacts, outcomes, and outputs
Module 6: Resources and Activities
- Dive deeper into the elements of the logic model, differentiating between resources and activities
- Activity: Review your logic model and describe the program activities and resources
Module 7: Evaluating Programs
- Describe considerations during the evaluation process and how to utilize the Importance-Performance Framework
- Activity: Use the Importance-Performance Template to rank your objectives
Module 8: Creating Business and Social Value: Employees and Suppliers
- Explore value-creation pathways for employees and suppliers
- Activity: Design a survey to measure engagement in your corporate citizenship programs
Module 9: Creating Business and Social Value: Customers, Investors, and Government
- Explore additional value creation pathways for customers, investors, and government
- Activity: Reflect on how your corporate citizenship programs create business and social value for your company
Module 10: Calculating ROI
- Define return on investment (ROI) and quantify the benefits of your corporate citizenship programs
- Activity: Generation a plan to measure ROI for your corporate citizenship programs
